Summer Camp Assistance for at-risk Loudoun County Children
Parents whose children are school-age can often afford the cost of before- or after-school care during the year. However, meeting the expense of full-time care during the summer months can be challenging for them.
We are incredibly grateful to the annual Dulles Greenway Drive for Charity for providing summer camp assistance for the Loudoun County children. The funds are being used to help low-income working parents in paying for the cost of the summer camp of their children. This year, 90 children have already been sponsored for various camps all over the county.
We also want to thank the Unitarian Universalist Church of Loudoun for its continued support over the years. With their crucial work in helping incorporate Fresh Air/Full Care in 2004, and subsequent donations over the years to include their “share the plate” initiative of the past two years, they have enabled hundreds of Loudoun County children to receive safe, licensed childcare.
